to share personal stories from inside addiction .
Do you feel like no one understands what your going through?
Does this leave you feeling isolated and alone?
Do you feel like you don't belong anywhere?
Diary of an addict is a newsletter created to share my own stories from inside addiction. The hope is to encourage and help others by leading by example sharing my story, hopefully showing you that you are not alone, giving you a space to be heard without judgement.
My addictions eventually led to me loosing everything I held dear to me, from my relationships, my business, my driving license and even to me losing my freedom.
Going to prison changed my life. In prison I joined a writing class and I believe wholeheartedly that learning to write saved my life.
Writing taught me how to communicate on a completely new level, in a few sessions writing changed for me, everything from my relationship with my son, my relationship with my partner, my family but most importantly my relationship with myself.
In turn this gave me the ability to me finally feeling understood, heard and no longer fighting this battle on my own.
Spelling, Grammar or writing are not important, this page is for everyone with any ability, we are here to help you tell your story, we will assist with you before publishing any story.
